Those are really nice, the cover is also a good idea. I have one of those style blades that I handled and it is one of my very favorite outdoors knives, it is fine enough to do fish and small game but has enough blade length to work up a deer. I know that is not what you made them for but I said that to say I am sure they will love them particularly since you cared enough for them to actually handle and finish the blank for them rather than just buying one.
