Saw my first Robin about a week ago! Lot's of bald eagles hanging around as well. I'm not sure they ever left here. I see them everyday but there is a lot of good cover and heavy tree habitat. A lot of years I have seen robins every month here abut some years there is a lot of them, and not sure they ever leave.

Just guessing but as in past years the ocean currents in the Pacific are more then likely causing this warm winter. LA NINA is the culprit. When she passes and EL NINO comes up the cold will return but not this season. Some years back during a LA NINA time I shot an elk in the middle of January. The temperature for two days, the day I shot it and the next was in the low 80s. A bit warm for western Oregon in January. It is ruining duck season also. Ted

La Niña is supposed to make us colder and wetter. At 3:00 this morning it was 43, 10 degrees above our normal high and the wind was gusting to 40mph. There is no snow left and my small creek is well out of its banks. Maybe some teens the end of next week.
