We planting 15-4’x2’x8’ above the ground beds. Last year we put up most of our food. I might add 5 more if lumber prices come down.

Usually grow 10 bushel of potatoes, 200-300 dozen ears of sweet corn, 4 - 5 bushel of tomatoes, beets, carrots, peppers, zucchini, pumpkins and pole beans. Probably do the same this year.

main garden 50x60 or so. Then a few hills of pumpkins, water melons, and cantaloupe. Two types of cukes on the perimeter of the garden on hog panels. Then another tater patch to plant between 50 and 100 lbs of seed taters. Last but not least 6 or 7 rows of sweet corn with 60 stalks to the row. Maybe two rows of popcorn.

Hoping to help feed five families this year.

To quote president trump, it’s gonna be yuuuge, the biggest, the best garden ever, we’re gonna produce more tomato’s than China, best garden ever.

I’m planning for 15 slicing/canning tomato and 15 cherry tomato plants, 15 sweet pepper and 15 hot pepper plants, 15-20 beans, 50’ row of radishes, 50’ row of salad greens, 4 each watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe, 2 pumpkin, 10 cucumbers, and then whatever else my kids decide they would like to grow.

How do y'all handle weed control? I'm not much on chemicals. So usually try hand weeding but just to time consuming. Thinking about trying the rolls of biodegradable paper this year

Farmall cub with cultivators. I do all my sweet corn and bean planting with a John Deere 7000 planter that had been cut down to a two row planter.

Between me and my dad we can eat a ton of radishes lol. I love em. It’s nothin to go through 25 or 30 radishes a day in our house, especially when it’s hot outside and the radishes are cold and crisp.....mmmm can’t wait!

Lots and lots of mulch, hand weed any that pop up through. I really dislike any sort of chemical. I blame agricultural chemicals for the fact that many of the kids I grew up with, me included, having extremely rare stomach/digestive diseases. I know 3 people who grew up with me that have a form of gastroparesis that will eventually kill them, several others with less severe digestive issues, and mine they can’t even diagnose. So I flat refuse to use chemicals of any kind in my garden.

tiller/mini tiller....a hoe...and a mulching mower. I found a few years ago some of my garden does just as well if I don't till. Just dig a shovel wide area, plant whatever, and leave the width of my mower between rows. Don't have to tend with muddy rows, and way easy to run the mower down between the rows.

I grow 2 gardens each about 50 by 100. Mainly so I can rotate Tomatoes around and not get too much blight. But going to build a steel barn this year about 24 by 32 that may wipe out 1 garden. I have some black soil, bottom land that needs grubbed out to replace the 1 garden, but that will take a season to do. I am on a lake so I have to be careful when I turn new ground.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

I need to prune a couple apple trees.
Going to try and propagate a couple from the cuttings.
NOT turning the hobbies into a job, been there.

If smart I'd find more local folks to trade with.
Most gardeners have extras.

If only we could produce canning seals..

I haven't eaten 20 radishes in my life and I'm pretty sure I'm done eating them.
