i don't like wearing a mask any more than the next guy. in fact, I hate it. However, i will wear a mask into stores and public places out of respect for others. It really is just a simple common curtesy. My wife is a nurse and she believes that wearing a mask is a good thing and will make a difference. That's enough for me.

If not wearing a mask makes you fell like a tough guy that is going to make a statement, go ahead. The statement you make will not be what you think.

No proof a stupid mask works

In fact the greater the mask usage in the last few months the greater the number of cases of covid

Try and explain that away

I don’t wear a mask and won’t. Call me what you want but I’m no sheep. Had the COVID back in august so don’t care anymore because for me it was nothing more than the average cold. Heard immunity is the only way this ends.

I don’t know why you would ask what other rules you need to “adhere” to. You can do what you want. I see people in stores all the time without a mask on. Don’t see where your doing anything special.

Almost 100% compliance here. I wear it strictly to keep from giving employees of local stores a hard time for doing what their employers ask them to do. I don't think they do bit of good and I've been wearing the same mask over and over. I'm waiting for the government to come up with some color coding scheme to enforce tighter restrictions.

I'm not sure how a mask is respect for someone?
As people's eyes gaze down more than every before.
As people steer around us as if one of us has the plague.
As people stand further away than is typical.
So masking is now the way to show respect as we toss human interaction aside?
That's seed of the serpent thinking for sure.

It's not the mask. It's the heart of things, literally.

Blessings,
Mark

Yes you are a sheep . Your the one that gets out of the pasture and runs around on the other side of the fence screaming I'm not a sheep until the wolves eat him.

I've received the vax so there's no real need for me to continue to mask up but i still do because i dont want hassle and i also think its still good for the general public and want to set an example.

Before anyone starts busting mu chops.... I also hate wearing masks and think that it gives many people a false sense of security.

Very very few people have the guts to say anything to me because of the way I present myself with confidence. I see many people take there mask off when they see me without one on. I have walked out of a couple stores over the past few months politely saying I will take my business elsewhere.

I don't wear a mask. Only a couple times in the same store that requires it. All other places, mask free. I don't think I'm a tough guy. I refuse to be muzzled by corrupt government. Your wife believes it works is her opinion. It's not a fact. I believe they don't work. Seen to many instances to show me they don't work.

The vax doesn't stop you from getting and spreading the virus.

A week? I ain't worn one since this crap began. Oh I still carry one and might put it on if asked nicely. If not asked nicely it might get a NSFW response and my putting that establishment on my permanent boycott list and trust me I'm quick to call corporate with a blue streak comment.
I figure it's my choice as a Freeborn American and their choice to ask but I won't be ordered to surrender my God given natural rights.

It shows respect because there are people out there in stores and other places trying to make a living dealing with the public and if me wearing a mask makes them feel more comfortabe I will do it. It shows respect to wear your mask so that you don't unknowingly pass the virus to them. You can still interact with people while wearing a mask.
What part of people dying from a virus don't you care about?

if you know that wearing a mask would save someones life would you do it?

I'll say it again, I hate masks and I would rather not wear them. I will wear them though if it helps slow down this virus.

When I mentioned 100% compliance, I was talking about the community. I've gone very few places lately and not seen people wearing masks. Those that weren't wearing them as they entered the door were asked to put one on. Complimentary masks are available at the door most places I shop. Most people have become conditioned.

You're saying that wearing masks has resulted in more cases of covid than if masks we not worn? How about you explain your theory on that.

For goodness sake, will you please take the time to read the 3 paragraph article I posted. And please let your wife read it also to see if she sees what is being said. I am not arguing with you. I am only presenting a fact written in plain English from the CDC.
[/quote]

From your article in the Daily fodder.... "The CDC quietly updated their guidelines to say that masks don't work if you've come into close contact with someone for 15 minutes or more"

How often do you come into close contact with people when you run to the store? Me, almost never. So, by your own article it is still recommended to wear a mask if the exposure is <15 minutes.

Elkantlers. To many people wearing masks still got the virus. That's what I have seen.
