Since that's their choice I'd be more than happy to never buy a ticket to a game or watch it on tv and hopefully the majority of good Americans will do the same .
Let's find out how well they like playing for a empty arena .

Professional sports will remain on the decline for the next several years and beyond. I doubt interest will increase and most likely will continue to hurt the industry. In fact i predict a continuing decline in TV viewing in general from many Americans. I am sure I am not alone in this feeling because I watch very little TV anymore or news.

If I heard it correctly, there was decline of Tv viewers watching the SB.

I don't have a clue I'm guessing basketball ? To take my above statement further , maybe the ushers and concessions staff may watch the games ? With a 11-14 record maybe they could get a game against Mother Teresa's school for unwed mother's but I doubt they'd beat even them ha ha

Maybe It's better not to play It and have all those over paid THUGS on their knees. Just saying.

Hopefully, this will hurt attendance at the games and on tv causing this decision to bankrupt the owners and the team.

Marc isn't an owner.
He leases a franchise from the NBA.
The NBA has a contract with the military.
Marc was reminded that he has a contract with the military.

Marc was in breach of contract.

This isn't about the Anthem, really, this is business, and Marc done effed up.
He didn't realize that this is the same as taking money from Ford, then refusing to run the commercials they paid for....

I realize i'm Canadian, and there is a lot of sentiment surrounding this, and Marc certainly did this for political/social reasons. But he will be put in his place for contractual reasons and he will shut his mouth.

If players opt to take a knee, I would rather the anthem not be played. Years ago, tv went to commercial during the anthem. That would be a better route. Stops the players from having a platform to kneel in front of a national audience.

There isn't anything wrong or unpatriotic to omitting the National Anthem before a professional game. We've just sort of done it as a tradition. I'd much rather them omit the Anthem and take away the platform used by lesser men, than have it cause a controversy instead of instilling respect, patriotism, a reflection of our past national values, etc. that the Anthem and the Flag deserve. But then again, I don't watch any form of professional sports so ya'll go ahead and do whatever you want. Won't affect me.
