My dad cut his teeth trapping mink in Harlen county Iowa. I was cleaning pheasant in the ditch at the home place of what I think they call 206 or 226st? lol used to be rr somthing, this winter and there were traps. Two years ago I saw a black chevy in there trapping but was not able to meet them.

Yup open Farm land with lots of creeks small to medium size with grassy Banks over a large area most all tile fed Creeks that were i catch my couple hundred every year

yes indeed wet swales marshes low spots ditches anything with tall grass and enough water to drown a mink so you dont feed the owls

this is interesting. I have not seen any owls or any other predator bird Not alot of barns or groves anymore. Pheasant populations are increasing even without the fence lines and groves.
Water ways are still prevalent Maybe someone is productive in coyote removal around Manning?
