Dont see a need here , Ground war will be a thing of the past in the next war. Tanks and ships are far to vulnerable to missal and rocket attack to be of much use .

Well the article said its a prototype vehicle and might be used not that the military is going all electric. I can see applications though especially as a squad vehicle. There are and have been in history a lot of situations where petro fuels have not been available but the grid has been. Im sure there are also knowing the military that there could be solar power applications made available. They are also quite and in some electric vehicles much faster than petro powered vehicles. Where would we be in the space race if we were not using electric power banks or if we were still trying to use solid fuel. I got faith the military will have a handle on it. Electric will just be another tool in the box for them.
