When I was 18 I think I could have checked off nearly a dozen from your list.

My kids, on the other hand could double or triple that. That's something I swore would happen when I realized how much academic crap I had learned, and how absolutely little practical stuff.

depending on what week they come to visit in the spring , it will depend on what shoot they will need to help with and of course shoot.

had a shortened shooting sports season this year , last weekend was the final shoot.

whens a good time to stop by and learn Turtle trapping and hog hunting ?

and Visit Nessey for an auto body work lesson?

Successfully Hunting, trapping, gardening, and learning how to process, preserve and cook it. Build a shelter find and purify water.

Just covered the basics. Food water and shelter. Have to be able to survive before anything else will matter.

I did not see land navigation, ham radio, or changing dippers on there.

Your Workshop skills seem on the light side to me, no metal working stuff like welding, machining or metal fab stuff, but I spent decades in manufacturing and in machine shops so there is that.
But thats really trivial, what skills really matter are the ability to figure things out and be willing to try new things and work on becoming better at all you do.
Exposure to circumstances that give specific life skills vary.

I potty trained all of our 3 kids. It only takes a day to potty train a kid.

My wife who mends all my clothes so I have no knowledge of how to do any of that stuff is currently killing her tomato plants. I swear that woman has a thumb that is some color other than green. I'll have to step in a bring them back to health if I'm gonna get her to make me a BLT in the future.

Did I mention that working together so that more skills come to bear against life's obstacles is also a skill?

this was my list of everything a 18 year old should know and have done I must admit I fell short on a few things with my oldest Daughter now 19 she hasn't left the house did her first year of college to become an art teacher from home online. her running a power saw , doing electrical work beyond replacing the end of an extension cord , or shooting a shotgun probably aren't going to happen .but the rest of the list is done and she has a lot of experience in some of the areas like baking.
She also has some incredible art skills
when I said you should help with this electrical or plumbing , I got , I will turn off the water and call you if the pipe breaks

she can shoot rifle and handgun, she chooses not to shoot although the opportunity is offered

what do you think , any additions needed?

I'm glad you included wiring a switch/recep in there... You wouldn't believe how many service calls I've been on to change a light switch in someone's house. Last year I worked a call to change cover plates... Young couple, the guy was a manager for some construction outfit, so use of tools was likely not a foreign concept to him.

Showing your kids how to do stuff not only teaches them valuable skills, it exposes them to different things and might help them decide what career path they would like to choose. My wife and (most) of my kids have no idea what an electrician's day to day job entails... Although my wife got a taste of it when I remodeled the shed. She helped pull the new feeders to the subpanel and helped pull all the branch circuits after I installed the conduit.

some people get real funny about electricity
I got a lot of experience working for a small construction company in high school.
I was the electrician for a few projects , I had taken a residential wiring class , then the guy with the license would give a short run down of how everything had to be run in conduit , not more than 6 feet of flex / greenfield any where. that 15 minutes was the only time I ever saw him. I passed inspection on first go

working all summer as an electrician also made me think harder about electronics school where I ended up going when I graduated high school.

When I look at the crisis this country is headed for, I figure the guy that can make the cleanest cuts on either side of the hearts on a pot still, will be pretty well set.

Nevermind. I'm pretty sure most have no idea what I am talking about.
