I have used them for a number of years... but have not used them out on the line. They are great for working with pelts and other parts in and out of the tanning chemicals. I like them for slicking the chemicals from the pelts. I have tried, in the past, the regular black gauntlets and they are a little heavy for slicking the chemicals.

Good buy for the money...

Thanks Cathryn for the heads up on these ... just picked up a couple of pairs. For the price, you can't beet them. As for not insulated ... I can wear a thinner wool glove in them, plenty of room for that.

How are they in colder weather and over the top of warm weather clothing. The ones I use a person has to remove a jacket to get them on and are even tight over a sweatshirt.

I have used them for years. Always keep 2 pairs. One pair is turned inside out and drying on the dash. Condensation is the biggest problem. I am glad they are not insulated .
Those insulated ones really get to stinking and take longer to dry.
Once the water turns hard on top I add a pair of brown jersey gloves. Much easier to dry the gauntlet and jersey Separately.

My Harbor Freight gauntlets get to stinking too. I dry them every night on a boot dryer.

No good for trapping unless a couple traps check is it an maybe, I have gotten 4 junk new pairs of $25 gauntlets in last 5 years an sent some back, think might be stuck with latest pr. A cpl weeks ago , I have another new pair but like 2 pairs on hand that don't leak, those are only good for trapping in emergency , there used for other purposes , chemical resistant , I was supposed get some like that for clean deep in toilets at work but I didn't want to do it

If hand setting numbers of body grip they will split. Only come as big as Xl. Us with man size hands have a bit of trouble getting them on. Do not keep hands warm in the cold when restricting the blood flow. That said they are a good deal for warmer areas and hands XL or smaller.

I like the new gut gloves more. There XXL size is nice. They are super flexible and insulated. Cost a bit more then HF stuff but more then worth the price.
