Want to carry my shield while walking and jogging, can anybody recommend a good carry system or holster? Looking at the Sticky brand stuff currently.

They make some fanny packs or side haul type fanny packs that work well. Added bonus nobody will even give you a 2nd look, they will think old guy and move on

Just wear a t-shirt that says. "I'm covid positive" on the front and back.

More for dogs then people, the guy down the street does a rescue and never know how they will behave.

I hate Sticky holsters. They are high maintenance you need to keep them clean or they lose stickiness. You hand wash and air dry which can take all night. Add to that.....I went to the ground with a guy, gun became unholstered (slid out) during the scuffle. I had just washed the holster about 2-3 days beforehand.

Look at belly bands. Looks like a back brace and goes under your shirt.

My alien gear 4.0 holds up decently if I'm wearing swim shorts or pajamas. Although I've never worked out with it while in those clothing.

I was looking at the belly band type but they are they sticky brand and used with the holster. I think?

this is one place where I would say yes to a fanny pack type that fully contains the gun

walking wear normal shorts with belt and holster , I dislike running

I admit I didn't carry at the gym , the gym I used to go to , you had a keycard to get in and were locked in except for other members , I would lift and stuff just my gym cloths , even left my keys in the car , it had a combination pad
just my key card and phone with headphones came into the gym

biking I would also go with the fanny pack , the thing about a fully contained package like that is you can take it off , move it to your handle bars , put it in the truck , whatever and no one ever knows you have the gun , where other options you have to holster and un-holster

I know there's variations I thought it was a specific brand.
Comfort Tac, alien gear, turbo tact, sticky all have belly band holsters.

I'm biased with alien gear, it's one of the most comfortable and discreet holsters I've used. Plus you can get the whole carry system (iwb, owb, and appendix) with the 4.0 for about$100. It's my edc with my shield 45. I did have an issue with the first iwb shell I got customer service sent a whole new kit told me to keep the last one

hill people gear chest or belt pack, I use the chest pack hiking and the belt pack for everyday...

it all depends what your exercise is and what you wear


when I went to the gym I did revers sit-ups for my back, you end up hanging upside down then straitening out to horizontal then down and repeat , great for the back , nothing was going to stay secured unless it was really strapped down.

I know a guy who had 2 of the sneaky pete types one had his cell phone the other had a medical emblem printed on it

if you are walking or light exercise with a good belt it could work for you

nvwrangler, check out Smart Carry.com. I just got my second one in to replace one that is over ten years old. It gets used daily. The old one is showing some wear but still very servicable. They use some time of materiel for the skin side that is bio something, mine gets completely sweat soaked and never smells. When I do wash it I just put it in with my work clothes. I usually air dry it if I have time but I have also thrown it straight in the dyer. My new one was 60 dollars to the door but is well worth it. Oh yeah it has a spot for your extra mag also.

A friend of mine, ex LE, uses the belly band type. Runs 5 miles a day. It would not work for me but he is quite a bit taller. I think he carrys a Ruger LCP.

My beltpack, carry daily.......the only thing in my pockets are a pocketknife in each front pant pocket and a sure fire 6P led. Nothing on my pant belt......this system keeps it real simple for me, just grab the beltpack, 2 pocketknives and a light.

My chest kit bag stays set up for hiking with a pack on....I keep a light on it for lighting up by my feet so I can use my headlamp for down the trail a bit...hike a lot @ night or finish in the dark.




Either would be good for walking/running, they make a runners kit chest bag.....in the beltpack is a Sig P-250 full size with a trl-1 light....it just fits by the skin of a tooth. The same pistol fits easily in the full size chest kit bag.

For walking, anything will work. But for jogging the gun needs to be held in place, don't even mess with fanny packs. My wife is a runner and carries her little .380 with her. There are all sorts of belly band carriers, some a lot better than others. Of the ones we've tried the Pistol Wear PT-2 was my favorite. It holds the gun flat against your body, and that prevents it from bouncing. Any pack that doesn't hold the gun flat against your body will eventually drive you nuts from the bouncing.
