i live and work in rural NH. those 4000k a week operating engineer jobs are not found in rural America. if i wanted to drive into boston I could land a job paying comparable wages but I would rather not. the further out from any larger metro city you get, the lower the pay scale. at least in new england.


The cost of living in the country is only a small fraction of the cost of living in a big city too. Money is really only worth what you can obtain with it. You're much better off making lower wages and being able to buy everything you need then making high wages and starving and living in a hovel because prices are so high.

I am making a huge amount in sales this year, more than I ever have by far, but I am spending much, much more to do it. I am going to end up spending almost everything I earn this year. Inflation is rampant.
