My Tacoma needs tires. I’ve been running BF Goodrich Rugged Trail and I think I could do better. My friends have recommended general grabber, bf Goodrich all terrain, and faulkentire wildpeak a/t3w. I drive in all kinds of nasty weather in town and on stone roads up the cabin. What do you all think of the 3 suggestions from my friends? Do ya have any other suggestions?

Whatever you get, get 10 Ply.

I'm on my second set of Milestar Patagonia MT's 10 ply and I really like them. I drive a lot of gravel and fields through some tougher terrain. The Thunders are good longer lasting tires as well. Both are generally cheaper options but with the same or better performance.

They are not all terrain tires, so a little louder on the highway but not bad really.

My wife and I both have Duratrac tires on her tacomma and my tundra. They do extremely well going in to our camp in all weather conditions. The camp road is a old logging road rocky,muddy and uphill. We go in almost every weekend year round.

Vote for Falken (wildpeak A/T at3w.)10 ply...check.
Wear great...check.
Real good in the snow and even ice.
I have mine under a 2500hd chevy with a 496, so i
think theyd last a good long time under a yota.
Cheaper than grabbers (which i have no experience) and
wear better than bfgs (this one i know is fact.)

I have the Falken Wild Peaks on a Tacoma and a Silverado 2500. The ones on the Tacoma replaced a set of Wild Peaks. The ones on the Silverado replaced Duratracs. The Wild Peaks are a much better tire.

I have the falkens wildpeaks sl on my tacoma .Unless your hauling or riding tough trails cactus,shale day to day your Tacoma will not like the weight and ride of a 10 ply . You won’t either if it’s your daily driver. My humble opinion.

Running BFG's on my F-250 and 50,000 mile tire is about wore out at 16,000. Looking at Firestone Destination X/T.

I purchased a set of these for the D Max but they never arrived at the tire shop due to covid BS

I settled for a similar looking falken ......so far they are a good tire

Just put on a set of Yokohama Geolander A/T's.
Nice tire. They also offer more aggressive A/T's as well.
......lots to choose from out there.

Have you asked Coonman for his opinion? He know tires.

I just put Cooper Discoverer AT/3 on my Silverado. Ride is good, not sure how they will wear. More aggressive than the last set of Goodyear Trail finders. I've had great luck with Firestone Destination A/T. Terrible ride, but wear like iron
