Directors usually aren’t in the movie scenes acting. Why would he point the gun at him and pull the trigger?

Sounds like it happened during the scene. The lady was a camera operator. My assumption is they were in the line of fire. Why was anyone in the line of fire and beyond it?

Actors are being told what to do by the movie directors and producers. They are clothed, fed, scripted, acting in character.

Many times the director is next to or behind the Cinematographer when directing the scene. Sometimes the Cinematographer will film the scene in front of the action. Could be the bullet went through the woman and hit the director or if something else was in the chamber fragments of whatever it was hit him.

I heard the film was low, low budget and lots of people working the film were unhappy....no armorer on the set. Baldwin will walk and you or I would already be in jail...he is part of the elite.

Supposedly a few walked off the set not too long before this happened.

Alec Baldwin is a douche but in my opinion, if the evidence plays out something went amiss with the prop round it's a civil matter and the movie company is liable.

Baldwin should be charged and tried for being an all around ejit.

Since Hollyweird is so anti-gun why are they even attempting a western movie involving guns. They should be practicing gay love.

Have to disagree with you, partly, Steven. Baldwin should be held personally liable too for negligence.

He should no more of handled a gun without knowing the rules of gun safety than he should get behind the wheel without knowing the rules of traffic safety.

I bet some of you have not noticed that in movies actors routinely point guns at each other and fire blanks....so, there goes the rules of safety normally followed. A qualified person would handle the firearms before they hand them to the actors so they would be verified safe...this movie was so low budget that job was not filled....

Unless they can stick someone else with intentionally loading that gun with live rounds, I'll wager that Alec at least gets charged with involuntary manslaughter.
