Why is it so many very nice and decent people die way to young while so many thieving no good folks who are rotten to the core live long and prosperous lives? Answer that one.
Mac Because God needs good people in Heaven. By taking them young he avoids the possibility of them some day rebelling and turning evil. He allows the rotten ones to live in hopes that they will see the error of their ways and turn to Him, much as Saul did, before He eventually gives up on them and sends them to Hades.
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

Mac
The wicked rule this world empowered by the god of this world, Just look around, and tell me what you see?
Your soul/spirit is software. Your body is hardware.
Lots of young righteous souls get called home early IMO. I think they could have done some fascinating work yet down here, but evidently, they were needed more in Heaven by the Creator to help fight the powers we don’t see. This logic makes no sense. He's the Creator of the universe and the Almighty. God has the power to put all wicked angels in their place without any help. Why would a loving God that made the human family to enjoy one another rob them of something he gave as a gift?

Of oarse He does, How many people have to tell you that before you will believe it. Better yet. What must God do to prove He does, Well in his defense, people have been spewing stuff at all of us pretty hard the last year. I believe “these are peaceful protests” is just one example.

What in the world are you talking about? Burning down cities and robbing them blind is surely not of God.

Ok, I get you now. But James has been in theological debates on this forum for over a decade so I don't really think your sentiment applies to him.

Dont look for logic in Judaism, Christianity Or Islam. There isnt any. People that believe do so because they choose to.
I believe they choose to because the belief that there is not a supernatural creator who sends dead people to Utopia for eternal life, who uses even the most horrible things humans do to each other, the horrible diseases even children are afflicted with, for good that we mere mortals can never understand, is just to scary.
So to not have to think about that scary stuff people invent religion. ALL PEOPLE everywhere have invented religion. Its a commonality among all races. The dominant religions are the religions invented by the people who dominate various parts of the world. People believe what there parents teach them. Rarely switching to another faith.
Faith and logic have nothing to do with each other. Religion teaches that humans can not understand deity so dont think just believe.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Faith and logic have nothing to do with each other. Religion teaches that humans can not understand deity so dont think just believe. The dominate religions are the religions that bound people together and gave them purpose. They are the religions that produced an expansionist mindset and allowed the practitioners to explore, settle and dominate the world. What happens when you lose the binding force of religion and the expansionist mindset that went with it? I think we're seeing it, you're replaced by cultures that did not, your people contract instead of expand and are replaced.

My question is why some people cannot see God.
No matter where you go there you are.

My question is why some people cannot see God. Well not to many burning bushes or red sea partings these days. Even then they turned away very quickly.

My question is why some people cannot see God. Just the perfect world we live in is enough for me to believe in a Creator. But then people get involved, every sector has to re-write the Bible to suit themselves, etc. That's when I lose interest.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

No one has landed on the most basic question of life quite yet, but these are good responses for sure.
