I had that Savage 14 built for my Dad, the barrel was cut down 3" & re crowned, stock cut down also .

My goal was to try and match My Dad's favorite rifle in Weight and Length of pull. His .44 Ruger semi Auto which he shoots well ,if only to 100 yards. [Linked Image]

I wanted him to have a Rifle that fit him (with a rest) into his 1 good shoulder. A rifle to shoot past 100 yds with light recoil.


Geez, I mistaked a Savahe for a Winchester? I saw stainless and wood so I got excited. I will find a stainless model 70 one of these days.


I have nothing clever to put here.
