I decided that if I ever got a tree again that I would name it Amy Winehouse because It is going to die and leave needles all over the place.

What kind of trees are those? They look like some sort of true fir (Abies).
What would they look like if they were natural; not pruned?

Looks like a spruce to me. But may be a frasier? though...just thinking out loud...on the net.

This year's house tree is an 8 foot Grand fir.

Top two pics are Picea abies or Norway spruce. Bottom pic is Picea pungens or Colorado blue spruce.

We also grow a variety of fir species............... Fraser, Canaan Valley, Douglas, Concolor, Grand and Korean.

Unsheared (unpruned), most all Christmas tree-type evergreens will still, generally, have a pyramidal shape. Just much more open between the limbs. However, if not under a well-thought weed, pest and disease control program, most likely won't even survive.

Depends on the species.

Canaan Valley fir may cut a tree or two the 5th year. Grand fir is closer to 10 years. The rest are somewhere in between.
