Haha, I was on the phone with my wife with one of them to see if my boys were awake and didn't realize how close to one of the cats I was and it almost got me.
If traps work like the Antis say......I would have no fingers.
I have spotted the chain or drag a couple of times and suddenly realized even one more step I would have found the answer to my own bite vs claw question!

What incredible day! Can't imagine how Giddy you were on the way home. Brother n I once went coyote calling and from 8 a.m. to 3:30p.m. we called in 21 coyotes n killed 15. We were on cloud 9!. Hopefully some of those get you some good $. Aint a cat trapper so gotta ask, why such long chains? Drags? Great job!

Long chain is on my drags. The longer the chain, the more likely you are to hang up on our brush which is sparse. The long cable is so I have options when cabling off to something, 90% of the ground I set is extremely rocky so I can’t use stakes. If I don’t have something closer that 8 feet from my set (about as far as you can reach with a 10’ cable), then I use a drag.

I’ve sold ringtail a kit fox to taxidermist. Tough for a taxidermist to beat the fur market price of our bobcats.
