Thinking of buying a Side by Side. What brands do you have that you love? Anyone bought one they wish they hadn't bought? What problems have you had? There's so many different brands out there nowadays. Any must have features?

2018 Honda 700-2. Love it. No problems.
Roof and windshield are necessities but are $$ accessories on Hondas..unfortunately.
I put on a 5000 lb winch with a front receiver mount. Can move winch to rear receiver as needed.
But, never had it stuck. It pulls itself well thru bad mud.

What are you wanting to do with it? What will you two it in or on? I've had 3 different ones a 2006 Yamaha 450 rhino 2 seater carb engine Not much power but small enough to fit in a truck bed if needed. They don't make them anymore but some are made about the same size 2016 Polaris 570 crew cab ranger 4 seater which was nice Narrow enough to fit in the horse trailer Hit every rock bigger then a golf ball especially if 4 men were in it Blew all the clutches and belts at 2500 miles not made for out west but would probably hold up on flatter ground Sold both of those to buy a 2018 Yamaha viking 700 3 seater and comfortable for 3 adults Good clearance Decent power Not a speed demon but can hit 45 to 50 I put bigger wheels and tires along with a 2 inch lift ( not needed) and a full cab with heator. I use them for trapping and ranch work. I don't need to go fast or jump so I picked a utility type sxs . They make sport and a cross between the 2. Some Polaris engines had some issues if buing used. Stay away from Chinese or off brand. Some are getting to the point you can pay less for a good jerp with the ability to drive it on highway and they have a heater. Must have roof , front and back windows. Cooler full of beer

2018 Honda 700-2 for me. Got roof, windshield and winch from the get go. Took a while to customize the racks and cargo bed for trapping but good to go now. All custom because there is not a lot of aftermarket accessories available for Honda. Should not be a problem for you with a hubby that welds.

Following this thread. I called the local honda dealer today for the third time to check on wait times for a side by side. They have a 700-2 coming in three weeks that no one has placed a down payment on. I will be there when they open on Tuesday. I have been looking since Oct. last year for something that didn't have a six month wait. Our local Honda dealer actually had a new Talon in the showroom for 4 days before someone from out of state drove here and bought it. They have struggled to have any new inventory on the floor, its coming in so slow that they sell it before it arrives.

I love my LC Smiths. For regular hunting loads the barrels are regulated well. The guns mounts and swing well. Like all guns, you have to handle them.

I had a 2001 Kawasaki Mule diesel. Bought it in 2010 from brother in law who bought it new. Top speed in high range was 24 mph. Heavy and slow. Used it 10 years. Had 2,000 miles on it in 20 years. Was glad to sell it in December.
Bought a 2021 Honda Pioneer 1000 Special Edition. We had it on order for more than 8 months. Just received it in October. Black It has tremendous power and speed. It is powered by drive shafts so feels like a real vehicle. Much more controllable power, not the rubber band feeling. One, two, and intelligent four wheel drive. High and low range. Traditional Honda super low reverse. It came setup from factory with a roof, windshield, LED light bar, extra switch panel, heavy duty A arm skid plates all 4, full belly skid plates, custom Fox suspension all 4, Maxis radial tires, Warn winch, rear view mirror, and custom wheels. Maybe more goodies. It needs a rear bumper, side mirrors, rear soft window, and a gun rack. So far we love it!
