New normal. Say covid and then tell how you will shut down the economy if you don't get your way.
This is just another attack on fur. They use terms like solitary confinement then say over crowded cages, they use buzz words like homeland and elites. It's true propaganda in all its ugliness and another taxable business segment pushed over seas.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

People have humanized animals, that’s why the buzz words work!!! When we had our mink ranch, them mink were very well taken care of. The better food, bedding, etc we have them, the better they treated us in the end. Animals are just that, animals. Even as trappers, we need to fight against the attacks on fur farms. The antis chip away little by little.

Sure hope they don’t find CV in cattle, poultry or hogs. Well, they claim they have found it in Whitetail deer so it would not surprise me too much.

People have humanized animals, ... Animals are just that, animals. Even as trappers, we need to fight against the attacks on fur farms. The antis chip away little by little. I understand your point and agree with the basic premise. But, I think the root problem is far worse than that. Rather than humanizing animals, I think we have de-humanized people. That is, we have determined man is just another species within the animal kingdom. The only thing that separates us from apes or dogs or any other animal is a different branch of the evolutionary tree. So, one side of the coin is elevating animals to human level and giving them "rights". But worse is debasing mankind and reducing them to mere animals - to be treated as such - "humanely" euthanized as needed, maintaining a managed population. Our most base and fleshly appetites are considered normal based on the development of the human organism. World views and foundational beliefs lead to all sorts of different conclusions about other matters - like "animal rights".

The antis chip away little by little. You are right. Years ago, we raised mink also. It was in the best interest of the rancher to keep the mink well fed and taken care of to prevent disease and good all around health. This legislation is just a first step toward making trapping and hunting illegal. These organizations place the value of animals above that of humans.
Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.

I’ve never thought of it from that perspective but I will have to agree. We have been reduced to animals. I will remember this in future conversations.

They have found a lot of positive whitetails for COVID in IA.
Bryce True, and at least 1 other state too. I hope they don't target wild deer next.

Our DNR is already stating that CV is apparently in our deer! Just as the CWD and Tuberculosis. Soon there will be NO large game to hunt legally.
Did I mention the Michigan DNR is run by Demorats in the governor and the DNR? One of the head biologists was awarded a job as a DNR professor at Michigan State Univ.

Bryce How did they get it? Not possible I'm sure the deer keep at least 6' away from all people.
