Not sure on Dickie brand but Carhartt makes a snap on hood with fake fur. They sure forgetting the folks that help make them who they are.

A lot of people here buy nice Parkas etc with fake fur on the hood. I take that junk off and put a nice real fur ruff on for them. Makes the coat look 10 times better and doubles the value at least. I have put decorative ruffs on hooded shawls etc,and I have put muskrat fur collars on construction workers overcoats as utility.

I've thought about this also...either beaver, or some real dark prime coon. I'd wear it to church!

So I know most fur is for them big fancy coats and stuff but honestly I just don't like those . Not really my style at all. Was curious is anyone happens to make fur clothing of a more casual variety ? Like I won't mind having a fur lined hoodie , Dickie coat something like that X2 I've looked and haven't found anything that suits me Something rugged with a yote collar or trim

Otter is good for a mans vest. So sleek it almost looks like leather.

Nice stuff and ideas. Like everything, if you want something that's not available or out of reach financially..... do for yourself I too love the idea of casual/utilitarian fur, Wolfdog.

Beaver make a toasty warm (fur in) and very durable slipper. Very easy to make, minimal sewing. A veg tan is best for them. Two LM pelts will do it.

Patterns etc just I question the utility of long haired fur like coon being used as a fur in application. Seems to me the insulation attribute comes from the air space between the fluffed up fur. Don't you lose most of that when it is compressed like any other insulation product?
