I wondered about adding it to my beef-vegetable soup. Sounds like it wouldn't hurt it. But really, you should try the deep fried.

Asparagus on the grill with light coating of olive oil and sea salt. Right after remove from grill sprinkle fine shred Parmesan cheese on it. Yum!
Forever in debt to my Father who introduced me to trapping. May I be half the man he was.

I cut each spear into 3 or4 pieces, wash well, salt and pepper (the only two spices I know), roll in flour, put in a milk/egg mix then back into flour. Have the canola oil hot and dump it in. Fry until perfect. It's fine eatin'. That’s how I like them!

It'll be a few more weeks before we can even begin to think about asparagus up here! At least. I still have 2 feet of snow on my garden. I love asparagus and can eat it any way; raw, great in soup, mixed in with salads, boiled with a hunk of butter. Pretty hard to make asparagus bad. Have to try the deep fried.

It's best if you leave out the asparagus You wouldn't want to eat at my house. My favorite vegetable is asparagus and fish salmon. I remember you don't like salmon either.

I've been meaning to try asparagus but don't like most veggies and couldn't picture just gnawing on a stalk of it like a rabbit. Deep fried? Maybe....
