Beaver market is an ADC market in most of US. I'll keep skinnin' em here for the current green pelt averages....just to keep from wasting the pelts. They're easy to skin, especially in a trough, and get the glands and tails. I usually kill 40 to 60 annually, so not a big $$ factor to me. The $$ is the trapping service fee or per beaver fee I charge, based in the job.

Gonna be a lot more nuisance beaver work available....nationwide. And any good trapper that wants to do beaver ADC has or will have the opportunity.

I caught 2 $100.00 beaver this morning. I might not even skin them.

Gibb- I'd like to see the documentation that before Feb 24, the ruble was trading at 38 to the 1 USD. The ruble rose considerably above 100+ to the USD soon after the Ukraine invasion but with the various maneuvers (gimmicks?) Russian government has done recently (as explained by this NPR article no less), the ruble got its low point almost cut in half and is at 80 rubles per 1 USD today. Supposedly, the Rus have also pegged the ruble to 1/5000th of a gram of gold (Russia has considerable gold reserve), although that may be some sleight of hand as well.

They say war is politics by other means. Perhaps that saying needs to be updated to add, "and currency manipulation is war by other means"...

But yes, Gibb, I will give you that the ruble has been screwed up against the dollar since the 2014 Crimea debacle. Which is also the first year of the new, western-led coup Ukrainian government was in place after the pro-Russian, elected president was ousted. Hmmm...see a pattern there?

Well there were all those Chinese buyers that got busted for avoiding the import tariff in 2014. They couldn't make it to many sales that year.

I won't skin a beaver unless I have cash in hand for the pelt, these are a nice HEAVY pelt, but they're pale. Breaks my heart to heave 'em!
