The larger fear around us these days is the dangers of the meth cookers and the litter they are leaving and throwing around. We won't let kids do the adopt a highway any longer because of it.

Yup- a recap came off a truck in front of me on my way back from up north last week and sheared off my transmission cooling line, I had to get towed and the tow driver was looking in the shoulder for something, I asked, is everything ok... he said he was looking for hypodermic needles before he laid down to attach the chains- seriously?

I walk the ditch on my property a couple of times a year. I pick up all the trash that gets thrown out of passing vehicles.
Always seems to be alot of Bud Light cans. Must be the same guy. Nobody I know drinks that swill.

I always leave a place cleaner than I find it, and recycle all that I can.

Sadly it's not uncommon for people to dump a truck load of garbage along the side of the road. Would be so bad if it was bagged but we're talking old sofas, TVs, computer monitors, furniture and such so it's not an easy thing to just pick up. And yes, garbage flying off the garbage trucks is also a pet peev of mine. If I toss garbage out my truck window, I can get a ticket bit nothing is said or done with the tons of garbage strewn in the ditches from those trucks. I walk my ditches after a long weekend and find lots of beer cans, usually one or two brands so presume it's the same people week after week.

In kansas if garbage gets dumped in a public area they put a gate across the road wildlife and parks will put up a gate so nobody can drive down the road. So the law abiding citizens get punished too.

Picking up trash has got me turkey hunting permission and wasn’t even looking for it, lol. It also assured me a permanent place to trap.
Both instances I was just driving and saw a trash can tipped over at a nice house. Instead of watching it get scattered all over creation I put on a pair of gloves and picked it up. I was caught on camera at both locations and both owners found me, lol.

Those liquor bottles may have collector value. I don't know enough about the subject to know for sure. It's usually milk bottles that bring the most money.

Same here. Although, I know many places in the woods that were dumps from the 30's-60' or so that have some neat stuff in them. Once found a small silver spoon from the 1904 worlds fair!

It's all bud light bottles that are only a year or so old, so I don't think there is much collector value.
