High winds and big surf. The guys on the coast downriver will be flooded. This storm had a cute name . It was known as Typhoon Merbok I am where the curser is.

The cute name I think you're talking about is called a "Derecho". And the one I went through where I live wasn't cute or fun! It was scary. We had 140 mph winds where I live. That's a cat 3 hurricane. Lasted about a hour. My area was without power for 7 days. Other places it was 2 weeks or more. In the middle of August, hot and humid and no air. I had a generator to keep the fridge and freezer running so we had food. Lots of people didn't and all their food went bad. 2 years later there's still signs of it. Go to youtube and look up Cedar Rapids derecho.

Both are, to me, almost beyond comprehension with the absolute violence and destruction when they strike. I was talking about the typhoon’s and hurricanes given names.

never knew the barometer could go that low 960mm .....it will be interesting what ocean litter will blow ashore We get into the 950’s, at times.
