Never tried eating them. Don't know of any recipes. I'd think that they might smart a little going down.

And will kill honey bees.

That's the point of the chicken. Honey bees are not attracted to it.

They say only the queen Yellowjacket over winters so traps should be put out early before they build numbers.

I had them coming to my hummingbird feeder so I put out a commercial Yellowjacket trap from Ace. Not much interest until I refilled it with Sunkist orange pop. Couldn’t keep them out of it. Honey bees weren’t interested maybe because of the Yellowjacket lure.

YouTube video on line shows them coming to a trap baited with chicken fat from a Costco roasted chicken. Think picnic. I’m tempted to try beer next.

I got rid of 2 of the large round paper wasp nest this year.
I use a shop vac with a long wand on it.
Just stand back and suck them up as they come and go.
After awhile I have to poke at the nest to get more coming out.
Takes about 10-15 minutes and doesn't cost a thing (other than electricity)

I got my Navigator SC yesterday. It works very well. I went from hundreds of yellow jackets and bald faced hornets rapidly destroying my pear crop to none. I used .6cc of Navigator SC In 2 cans of tuna. I drained the tuna water. Mixed the Navigator SC into the water. Mixed the treated water back into the tuna and put 1 can of bait in each of the 3 trees. I wish I started using it years ago.

I got stung a couple days ago while working on my tractor. The tractor had set idle for months and the wasps set up shop in the front axle. Starting fluid put an end to them.

Where did you find the SC? I need to get some.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I bought it from:

https://diypestcontrol.com/navigator-sc

I got it, but they were a slow shipper. It arrived 8 days later than they said it would when I placed the order. It only took 2 days to get here once shipped.

The Navigator SC seems to have worked perfectly on the hornets and yellow jackets. I am very happy with it.

Since 2 hours of putting the Navigator SC and tuna out on Friday, I've only seen 1 yellow jacket and no hornets.

When I see the first yellow jacket of the year. I put those bait stations out and then don't see another till the next season. Puts ones mind at ease when brush hogging with an open station tractor for sure

If the nest is above ground, I just "bag" them after dark. Do what you want with the bag.

If the nest is in the ground, I just put some gas in an old tire. Put said tire on their hole and light it up.

My daughter . looked online , she says walmart keeps it. Going to Buffalo ny. Hope she finds it. The wasps are bad around my bee hives and honey extractor. . Will pass the info on navigator SC , to her as well. Us Canadians need to buy several and share them. Our rules here are often a bit stupid. . With our green nonsense.. old243

Just a thought , If Taurus SC and navigater SC are also used as fumigants for termites as a soil drench. Would it be effective against Emerald ash borer . To protect yard trees. About 5 years ago I purchased a product , that was drenched around the tree. The quantity used was based on the diameter of the tree. Mine are mostly 6 inches and smaller, yard trees. I might try it. old243
