If it’s a new body style it’s one of the ugliest truck I’ve seen I agree 100%. I have an '09 4x4 and love it. Just rolled over 130k miles. Look forward to putting another 200k+ on it. Gas mileage isn't horrible at 17 or thereabouts. It has the 5.7 iForce V8.

2016 double cab 4x4 here.....bought new. Has 77,000 miles. 4.8 v8. Gas mileage is not good. But, no problems so far. Mine came with sprayed on bed liner. I added the grill guard. And new tires and leveling kit. I don't think it's ugly.....it's pretty....when it's clean.

If your 5’9” and 170 lbs ....you’ll fit.

I have had an 07, a 13 and now have a 17, all double cab 4WD TRD with 6.5' bed. 07 had the 4.6 engine and the other 2 had the 5.7. Had a couple of issues with the 07 that Toyota took care of and reimbursed me for a rental truck while mine was out of service. No hassle from them at all.
No problem at all with the 13 and 17. Knock around mileage in the 16 to 16.5 range, highway around 18 to 18.5 It definitely likes gas when I hook up a trailer to do any serious towing. They all had a very comfortable ride with the factory suspension package and standard size tires.
My 17 has 106,000 miles and I am going to keep it. The 5.7 has shown to be a very reliable power plant and I have no interest being in the test group for the new turbo V6.

My 07 just turned over 200k and it has been the best truck I have ever owned. Also, it was made right down the road in San Antonio.

I have an 08 Tundra Dbl.cab. I use mine as a construction vehicle and regularly tow my Kubota L35. I also routinely tow 2.5 cords of green firewood which almost maxes out tow capacity (10,200 lbs.). The 5.7 doesn't have much trouble trailering those weights.
Gas mileage sucks, about 17 highway and 15 city, goes way down when hauling or trailering.
I'm having significant rust issues due mostly to the calcium added to the dirt roads year round near my camp (no paved roads in my township). I keep tghe bottom as clean as I can but those calcium flakes have eaten my last three trucks.
Eh...wot?
