I have sent Livetrap.com 2 emails with a question about a certain trap that they sell. I have not yet received a reply from them. Maybe they don't know the answer. That makes me think that Tomahawk may be made by someone other than Livetrap.com. I will just ask the question here. Will the,,,,,, 107.5SS - 10x10 Pro Double Door Trap,,,,, be sufficient for armadillo? https://www.livetrap.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=32869 An elderly gentleman is wanting a trap for coon and armadillo. I know nothing of Tomahawk traps but I have heard good stuff about them. I like Comstock traps and Advanced Traps but I doubt that the elderly couple could set the Comstock double door. Any help that yall could offer is appreciated. Thanks in Advance. Rickey

Thanks for replying. I was wondering if 10" tall is enough as you will lose about 2" or so of that with the door sticking out. Rickey

Is worry more trying to find a cage they won't spend the night in. I have caught a good number of dillers. I thought coons were rough on a trap until I started messing round with them armadillos. Dillers will make a pretzel out of some trap doors. They can tear a non-quality door clean off of a trap. Advanced Traps and Comstock Traps would hold a rhinoceros if you could get him in it. Is Advanced Traps no longer in business? I may just take a Comstock trap out there to the elderly couple's place and see if they can set it. If Tomahawk truly is donating to anti's, I don't want to buy from them. Rickey

Yes, a few models. Jim still sells other models. Not sure if tomahawk makes those for him or not.

Jim Comstock has a setting tool that makes opening the doors very easy. I got one when my young nephew was helping me. It works great.

I listened to a podcast some time ago with Greg and Kyle talking about Tomahawk's products. https://pestgeekpodcast.com › podcast Greg and Kyle Smith of Tomahawk Live Trap Company One of the things that was commented on was that they have a specific trap for Armadillos. Didn't pay to much attention about that specific trap at the time, we got none up here yet. Looking thru the Tomahawk catalog = model 108.7 Ridged trap with two trap doors 48x10x12. 1x2 x 12 ga. for armadillo. There could be others models. I would give Tomahawk a call @ 800-272-8727 to directly talk with someone about recommendations for the specific application. I give up trying to get the link to work the way it should.

Their website says they work in connection with some feral cat trap, neuter, release program. Not sure if that is the group in question or not. I don't know anything about the cat group. Yes, that's the group in question. Opposed to fur trapping and most nuisance trapping and in favor of feral non native invasive decimating native wildlife and ecosystems yet the first to call for trapping when coyotes eat a cat.
