All day sits Saturday and Sunday. We both connected Sunday evening...me at 4pm and son at 5pm. Took an atv and a few hours to get em out of the bottoms they were in. On a serious note... nice bucks and hope y’all had an enjoyable time free of harassment of any kind lol That got me thinking, out of all the states I’ve hunted I’ve only encountered GW in a few. NM we had a local call the GW when they saw us on the mountain and trespassed on the land we were parked and saw California plates on our rental. That was resolved when my Uncle saw the GW on his land and explained who we were, lol. Got checked in Alabama but we were on a military installation, to be expected. Got checked coming out of a Rez in Arizona. And had the Feds show up at our duck camp for breakfast and never said a word about all the ducks hanging outside and never asked for license. Everywhere else we either saw none or saw them at gas stations and talked to them and they never asked for license or anything else. In fact in Kansas we invited one to eat with us one day for lunch and he pointed us to some WIHA land that hardly anyone hunted and had turkeys. We figured he’d show to check us and never did. And we killed a bird off that place.

GWs have a lot of ground to cover. Tell me about it! Killed my biggest gobbler ever at Chickasaw and rode all over that place looking for a GW or someone working to take my picture with my bird in front of the Chickasaw sign, lol. Couldn’t find a soul!!!
