some one sold them the idea that a union would change any of that.

with a union they will get paid overtime after 40 , but they don't work 40 , they will push the student out for a full time worker

every kid should start with a day of hay in July working in the loft
eyes watering , soaked through , snot just draining from your face , realizing how good the breeze feels hanging out the door between wagons

trench digging with a shovel and pick after that

everything else in life gets easier from that.

or shoveling manure into a wheelbarrow and up the plank into the manure spreader!
