Wonder what everyone would have been posting on this site in 1938 Through December 1941. Lot of pantywaist back then saying it was not Americas business to get involved then. Putin needs to get a good slap in the face from the rest of the world and America calling the Ukraine crooked is like a pot calling the kettle black. I also heard that Biden didn't have a pair and would do nothing to stop Putin. I guess we will see how it plays out, but Nato is a deterrent to guys like Putin, and Ukraine should have never given up their missiles. At least back then we didn't end up backing the Nazis.

And you would've had us rush into a European war when we couldn't even field, much less feed and arm, an army of 100,000 men?
BTW, you just might want to look into the Time Man of the Year in 1938 and just what Wall Street financiers were doing. Wow! I didn’t even know Time magazine was a thing in 1938. Thanks Warrior!

Putin is just like Hitler,WW2 started because no one stopped Hitler when he annexed the Sudetenland. Then he annexed Czechoslovakia proper. Crimea is Putins Sudetenland Ukraine is Putins Czechoslovakia
The west will not let Putin start WW3 like we let Hitler start WW2.
How Moronic can you be calling Zelenski a NAZi,lol,he is a Jew.Thats commie propaganda just like your home grown commie propagandists calling the proudboys Nazis.

Ohhh my, the U.S. government is sending the AFU a whole 2 1/2 companies of tanks. If used all at once, they might be able to do a local break through on a couple mile front. Of course, without combined arms covering and supporting (i.e. artillery and infantry), there won't be anyone to cover their flanks. All of NATO has pledged about 110 tanks so far, basically a slightly under strength armored brigade (minus the mech infantry). I'm sure that will bust through the entire Russian lines and drive all the way down to Sevastopol in Crimea, especially across the 4 miles wide or so connecting land. No way the Rus can cover that drive, especially across the narrows, they're totally incompetent and can't figure out how to fire any cannons or launch missile artillery (only killed or maimed a quarter million Ukies and their fellow travelers so far). Victory by the AFU within a month after getting the NATO hand me downs of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles!!
Little known fact is that when the Turks came across the Syrian border back in 2021 (I think it was after my kid left there so probably the right year), they had German Leopard tanks and left with fewer of them thanks to the Kurds. The Iraqi insurgents knocked out about 50 or more Abrams over time, including 17 that couldn't be repaired. And they had infantry style anti-tank weapons and IUDs (usually wired old artillery shells). The Abrams is formidable coming at you but it has a weak **s as most tanks do. One of the weaknesses of the Abrams, because it has a turbine engine, is that it has to suck in a lot of air while running, and those intakes are especially vulnerable to infantry anti-tank weapons. There's an interesting video out there of a Saudi Abrams in Yemen fighting anti-government rebels getting hit in the back corner and it brewing up in less than 1 minute. One crew guy is seen getting out.
So, keep on thinking that the Russians military are push overs and will get their ***es kicked without taking a lot of NATO out with them. And keep on believing that things won't go nuclear if one side or the other is losing badly. The Russians will fight NATO to the death because they have nowhere else to go. So just keep that in mind when you think its going to be Desert Storm all over again. That's probably the wrong war to model your brains with...

Seems weird that the vocal group of folks that were worried trump was going too start ww3
Are the ones now cheering for ww3 ^^^^This^^^^ That's what I haven't figured out, yet. All the hand wringers and Jane Fondas and Jimmy Carters and John Kerrys that historically want the U S out of any military intervention; and turned their head when the Kymer Rouge killed a couple million and the Rwanda Genocide killed a million plus are the same ones that are pushing us into this Ukraine thing. Which is why we shouldn’t want any parts of it. And for those “we made a promise” folks, that ship sailed sometime ago.

where are the tank crews coming from? have we been training foreigners or are americans going? what about repair facilities? or just going to let them become scrap metal?

I know me and you differ on those about whose right about this but you 100% correct on alot of what your saying about tanks. Like I said if your DONT have a proper forward support system and logistics team most modern tanks are......just no.. rather Have a bunch of gopnicks in adis track suits , plate carries and shoulder fired anti armor systems against tanks then other tanks. I strongly feel many basically fetishize modern combat thinking it's how it was during WWII when it's the opposite.

From what I gather we are training the whole group for operations and maintenance. That’s why they won’t be seen overnight. Going to be months before they roll into action.

I strongly feel many basically fetishize modern combat thinking it's how it was during WWII when it's the opposite. Add my vote to it as well. The Abrams was designed for defending Fulda Gap. Just look at it's gas guzzling fuel economy. It's a defensive tank by design not one of Patton's third Army outrunning it's supply train. That it was successful in Desert Storm was as much due to the 101st Screaming Eagles air dropping a full service gas station deep into enemy held desert for the Abrams to run to as it was the ability of the tank. Without logistics the Abrams is not much more than a fixed emplacement. Fools talk tactics, generals talk logistics.

Thank you Wolfdog-- You are a responsible and resourceful young man. And I thank you for your service to the country, just as I'm thankful to my son's service and my brother's former service. I just pray and hope that your leadership, both military and civilian, use your service wisely in the true defense of the American people. Not to the financial system and those who run it. No where in the Bill of Rights does it say that American citizens should pledge our loyalty to a central bank and fiat currency. Given that it took about 120 years after the Constitution was ratified to create the federal reserve as a central bank, its pretty apparent that the founders of the United States government didn't think it was an overly good idea to have such a financial system. They would also be appalled at the size and scope of interest of the current federal government, violating multiple civil rights of the citizens every day. But things change over 250 years, a lot of times for the worse or at best a mixed bag. We'll see what will happen in the near future, maybe liberty can still prevail...
