I've caught 25 30 like the one pictured in eagleeye's picture. Another 50 that were black save or the head.

As unique as they come…

3 black beaver out of one house

Black beaver compared to regular ones. The back of black beaver is always the darkest, but many will have a chocolate brown or smoked grey under fur that shows up on the belly.

A few back from the tannery…

Nice Beavers.
The ones with white spots show up once in a while.I have never caught any on my lines but have taken a couple nuisance.
When one shows up on a trapline the trapper will go right away and trap out the house.Dont want those spreading. They graded as damaged back in the day and the old timers didnt want them on their line.
Probably worth more money today on Taxinet.

I don't catch a lot of beaver, but I usually get one or 2 like this every year in the limited area that I trap.

I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
