Wasn’t the Alone show that’s on now filmed on yours or one of your relatives trap lines?

I got the polar bear that I bought off Ian back from International Fur Dressers, after tanning it’s over 10’, they were impressed. Was mouse crap in the fur, but it turned out awesome!

I like having my wolves on stretcher early enough in the day to monitor the ears and feet for dryness. Id rather flip them as soon as they're just dry enough rather than a bit too dry. This winter i somehow forgot I had a wolf on stretcher in the spare bathroom we rarely use. Had to wrap the nose to just behind the front arms with paper towels for a couple hours before i attempted turning that one over.

The first caribou hunt didnt work out. Too many bears. I seen one big bull and two bears ran it off.

Round two starts tomorrow though. 5.5 days of time off to go get some meat. Taking Bobby and my nephew Kullen this time.

I tried to post the pictures of the caribou me and Margo got last week but my phone takes too big pictures. I got to learn how to make them smaller.

This one was safe from muskrat411 because it wasn’t standing in snow

It dropped up that bank a ways but it was down hill so I just pulled it down to where it was clean on the snow.

Cool (no pun intended). The deer love snow in summer - less flies and good way to hunt them is look for dark spots (the deer) on the snow. Why? Flies hate cold and coldest place for a deer to be is on snow. Shade same way - cool and flies don't like it so the deer so.

For those unfamiliar w caribou flies of different kinds are bad news for caribou in summer and they will a lot to avoid the flies - even go in the shade of building like at abandoned sites.

Look at blue flies - soon as sun gone they gone. Flies that bother the deer same. Shade and and cool are the deer's friend in summer.

Yeah. Bobby was surprised to see you in town already. We barely were able to pass you in Bennett channel. Even then he was asking "what kind of 40 horse is that?'

Time goes so slow when you’re waiting for the weekend. Me and my coworker Greg took tomorrow afternoon off to get a early start in the weekend moose hunt. Warm weather has delayed the rut so they’re still really good yet. No smell at all and not responding to calls but that should change within the next couple days. Looking forward to putting some miles on with Greg and Bobby
