Clint Locklear markets some glow in the dark lures. Don't know about traps though.

There's glow in the dark paint but that would last about half a second with coons. Maybe a plastic with glow embedded, something like the old egg trap.

I actually make glow in the dark DP,s I use them on strictly private land where theft isn’t an issue cause they stick out like a sore thumb. They charge by sunlight and last about 12 hours at night. I’ve found that the visual gets a coons attention way sooner than using a bait or lure. Here’s a link to show you what I mean. Middle Creek Trap

How well does the powder coat hold up?

It holds up really well, if it gets banged off of rocks and such it’ll scratch but it doesn’t flake off like paint. My water sets that are close to rocks will get a gouge in the steel but not significant enough for me to stop using that method, dry land sets are more gentle where I’m at cause the hardest thing around them is wood and those DP’s have been 4 years since I’ve had to touch them up. Even the gouged ones I just hit with a liquid clear coat to seal them back up and they are good to go.

Lol, like I said, don’t use where theft is an issue.

I taped glow sticks on dog proofs probably 10 years ago when everyone had a few out. I had better results with a big white marshmallow ontop.

You can buy some paint here to try it.
Sounds like it could work , but still think scent is better.

Only downside to paint is it comes off pretty easy.

The best thing for a rusted DP is to catch a coon, lol. I have an Bridger that looks like shiny metal. It’s in a hot location, catching about one every other day in it.

With that said I might try something like a glow in the dark DP. If nothing else it would scare some of the females on the way to their deer stands!

I can see where they would work well, but at almost $20 a trap, you can't afford to lose very many.

Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.

Glow in the dark golf balls would be a cheaper option if you're wanting to experiment
