Norwestalta, No 165" there. The highest scorer of all those is less than 140". I guess it's an optical illusion. So we're talking the right deer. The one I'm talking about is on the left side in the inside corner. Looks to be about a 20" spread and 9" brows. From the picture to me looks like a nice even 5x5 but the pic is a little blurry and can't see the right side of him. I really like him anyway lol

Yeezus. All your money go to taxidermy? Taxidermist must be reasonably priced down there. Looking about $1000 canuck pesos here for a mount or more. Got a 168 gross 5x7 on my wall that I shot about 15 years ago. If I remember correctly it was $800 for the mount. I won't taxidermy another whitetail until I shoot something bigger. To each his own money is to spend I make plenty and haven't mounted one since 2014

Well jbyrd its amazing how your little post turns into a little envy from some.lol Thank you . Just intended to show my nephew a lifetime of buck kills. Some might chuckle at how few or the size of a lot of them . But they aren’t hunting my area nor my properties. We can shoot 1 bucks per year regardless of method I normally kill 2-6 does a year for last 10 years. All coming from zones that have unlimited or up to 6 does allowed to be taken. I killed 6 last 4 years using crop tags and 1 of my state tags .

Just my opinion, I can't stand people who publicly display "their" big bucks. Y'all are so caught up in your own ego and so desensitized about real Nature that you have ruined things for the hunter who wants and needs to put food on the table. Ridiculous. Catch, I love my bucks and all that went into killing them. I respect meat hunters and feel meat hunters should respect the way I want to hunt? No? My cabin wall will soon be proudly displaying "my" bucks, turkey, grouse, pheasants and ducks.

jbyrd nice collection and thanks for sharing the pics and stories. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I just posted a pic of a nesting pair of red tails that are 10 yards out of my food plot. Some said I should dispatch them. BUT NO REAL nature is letting them raise their young and do what hawks do. Plus added bonus is when I check my cams I can watch them .

Not all deer are trophies because of their size but the story that goes with it.
