No corn. I really don't want to even shoot one very bad, especially back at THAT stand. I would need a canoe. I just can't get excited about it this year for some reason.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I felt the same way. No bucks on the camera and no scrapes anywhere. Lots of does and fawns.
If you are better off now than you were 4 years ago, you're probably an illegal immigrant.

I found a couple fresh scrapes today from in the last 24 hours but they are about the size of your hat. They definitely aren't as cranked up yet as I thought they would be.
I have nothing clever to put here.

You're 1_2 weeks to late for hunting scrapes. Those small scrapes your seeing now only means a buck Was there. False hope for a return visit.

I am not hunting scrapes, just noticed they were fresh. I have owned and hunted this chunk of dirt for 32 years and much prefer hunting the bedding areas. The bucks here haven't even started the rut and are typically 5-10 days behind most other areas for some reason. Many years the week between rifle and ML is the peak.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I also had a talk with a big ole bear tonight, hopefully he moves on. Hopefully you used you adult voice. Yes, I had hoped the rut would be further along here but it is certainly not cranked up. Last night the bucks were feeding in the neighbors field and showed no interest in does.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Are you wearing your PJs? Wool pants actually. I put them on just for the photo op. When is that 100 pound propane tank going to run out ? I normally get about 5 years out of a tank.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Great pics, Rob. I like your view.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Great pics, Rob. I like your view. It would be a lot nicer with a few more deer in it. 3 grouse and a turkey so far this morning is all.
I have nothing clever to put here.
