They're a blast to trap. Too bad their fur isn't worth much. Better off to find a taxidermist who might buy them.

Long tail weasels are pretty much everywhere in the US least and short tailed weasels are more limited in distribution.

If you don't have a lot of snow, they seem to not care about bait as much

I caught one many years ago in a mink set. 110 conibear with mono mink wire on trigger. Weasel was caught by the waist carrying a sparrow through the 110. Brushy creek bank set on small farmland stream. It made my day.

I've noticed that too and now will put boxes out before a new snow.


Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
