Well it finally happened after having traps set for 2 weeks, I finally caught my first ever k9, which is a fox. This set had been refreshed once about a week after being set due to melting snow. This was a gland lure set/ walkthrough kind of set. I can't remember what I put on it. But it was coyote gland and coyote urine I think. I got a very nice high catch on it with the Duke 550, so that was nice. I did have to change it out to a dirt hole as my clump of grass was gone and I didn't feel like pulling it out. I have a few other spots on this property where I want to put traps so I'll probably end up doing that. Anyways, here are the pictures.

Nice fox, when my hair is down like that I always have eaves and stick in it when I have been out. Nothing like catching your first one, or the first in different types of sets, or the one that was really giving you problems. Those are the most memorable.

Congradulations. The first one is always the hardest. Get after 'em!

I don't know about the working harder part but thank you! Going to go until I get sick of dealing with the freeze and thaw conditions.

It's a very good looking fox, I can't wear my hair up, it bothers me too much. It's not uncommon for me to have something in my hair, whether grass, leaves, or whatnot. I'm running 3 different types of sets right now so hopefully I can catch one in each set.
