That's more tree than we have. Seems like a lot of work to drag all those decorations out just so we can put them away in a week. I guess, I am on the same page as wissmiss, walleyed and 160user... smirk

Christmas trees........I never saw the logic in this. Let's go out in the woods and search for the perfect tree. No missing limbs, no bald spots. Just the prettiest, fullest most perfect tree we can find.......and kill it so we can take it home and look at it for 2 weeks. Why don't people PLANT a beautiful tree in their yard every 10 years? At least then it will have meaning. Pictures of the kids standing by the tree decorated in the yard each year to document the growth. Birds eating popcorn strings off the trees. I just never understood cutting a Christmas tree.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Christmas has become just a source of anxiety and stress. When the kids are grown I'll be done with it.

We have a couple more things to pickup tomorrow. Thursday will be wrapping. Friday we will celebrate 33 years of marriage, then we will chill until the 25th.

I don't like holidays to much BS involved. Will have family here but not a fan of xmas and if I didn't have family, it would be just another day in paradise spending my time in the outdoors.

So, to answer your question I'm ready but not ready.

I solved the wrapping present thing a long time ago. I tie a pretty bow in the handles of whatever sack the store gives me when I buy a present. If i wanna fool the recipient of said present, Ill use a grocery store sack for a gift thats not from a grocery store. My side’s Christmas is done and now Ive apparently ticked off the in laws because I have insisted that at least every other year, my kids will spend Christmas Eve in their own beds so Santa comes to their own house. So apparently Ive ruined Christmas for them because of my selfishness. Wife backed me on it. And finally, a couple weeks ago I insisted my wife buy a bunch of stuff for her sewing/crafting hobby and call it her Christmas present. She was excited. It wasnt cheap. I topped that off with telling her to spend what she would have on me to get more of that crafting stuff for herself. Come summer/fall, when I want a new gun or something, this will take the sting out. I just won Christmas.

we actually have a very good day with everyone, seeing friends and family. Lots of good food and listening to the story of hunting and fishing the old uncles, sit by the wood stove they love the heat, 92 years young, and still hunting,
