2poor trapper Joined: Nov 2023 Posts: 336 Lake Mille Lacs , MN	If you have a muskrat population they work the bait same as a Beaver. When rats are bringing a couple $ that not very advantageous while targeting Beaver ! It’s a lazy man who can’t find his wife a second job !

bctomcat trapper Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 2,794 100 Mile House, BC Can	I have used them also and they work well when the bait stick is attached to a trap jaw. When the bait stick is on the trigger, water movement by swimming beaver will often fire the trap. Last edited by bctomcat; 12/27/23 02:43 PM. The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.
