Yes, record high DJIA number but I'm still down from December 2021 as far highest portfolio goes.

There have always been those not trusting the stock markets since the great depression and before. So make other investments. Like said in land, maybe gold and silver, ect. And during that time Manny many more millionaires have been made investing in the stock market. Many I work with just in their basic 401 alone. It goes up and down but over time always up.
I have bought land and houses. May be buying moms condo before long. Everything I have bought had gone up in value greatly. My stock investments have also. My investments in ammo have probably had the best returns if I would sell some of it off.
Invest in what you are comfortable with. Make a budget stick to it and don't live beyond your means. It's simple yet so hard for many.
Everything you bought has gone up in "price", If you did not add value, chance are the values are similar to when you bought it.

EVERYTHING has the same value that it has a!ways had in the past. ( except maybe buggy whips ) Everything takes more money to buy do to inflation. Inflation is nothing more than the devaluing of currency. Devaluing of currency is the highest form of taxation a government can bestow on it's people. Most stocks are inflated at this time in my opinion.
What to do? Say in? Get out? Short it?

It's gone up in value simply becuse I have owned it due to my celebrity status on trapperman.com alone. Point is there are many things to invest in. Not all are able to be sold like education and skills. Some things my be an investment that saves you money reducing bills like say a solar electric sys t em or new windows and insulation. Others may rather start a business instead of buying stock Or gold. If you leave it in cash your going to loose out. If you don't budget and live below your means you won't have anything to worry about investing.
