I looked online before I asked……has anyone had any trouble with this UTV not starting due to shifter needing “jiggled”? It’s gotten to where I have to run it up and down to find a place it’ll turn over. I’m wondering if it’s a sensor in the shifter or brake pedal? Getting ready to really use it. I don’t want to get stranded miles from truck. It’s a 2019.

My 2020 1000xp does that sometimes but im pretty sure mine is the brake pressure switch. I ordered a new one but haven't gotten around to installing it yet

I had a Polaris Ranger 800 xp I bought new in 2011 it was nothing but trouble from day one I put more than purchase price in repairs. I got rid of of the problem in 2020 when i bought a Honda. In my book Polaris is nothing but JUNK.

I have a 17 1000xp. I had the same issue of having to work the shifter back & forth. Sometimes it would work, other times it wouldn't.

One day it wouldn't turn over no matter how many times I worked the shifter or how hard the break was pushed.

I finally took it to the dealer. What they told me never made any sense to me. They said there were a couple teeth broken off the fly wheel.

I still not sure if that was the problem. I would have thought if it was missing teeth, I would still be able to hear the solenoid / starter trying to kick in.

It has been around 3 years and I have not had any more issues.

At the time I got mine Honda’s we’re having a transmission problem they’ve since fixed. It couldn’t decide what gear it wanted to be in. Mine has served me well. No abuse and all fluids and oils kept changed. I’d seriously look at Hondas though now. Had several Honda ATV’s that were great.
