Wife surprised me with a Christmas/50th Birthday gift. We are heading to a inland tour/cruise for two weeks in July. Just now checking details. Funny is that I almost bought her and her mom tickets for Hawaii. My daughter Eve knew of my wifes plans and talked me out of it. Wife turns 50 in two years then her destination.

As long as you are there, and after your organized tour, take some time to do your own thing and head to coastal alaska. Anywhere would be better than not doing it at all. Homer, Valdez, Kodiak, Seward, etc..

This trip will be on my wife's terms. Using the trip to get a taste of it. Heading back in a year with my brother.

Remember, there is a lot more Alaska than the places a cruise ship can get to....! Don't judge us all by what you see on the beach!

So, she bought YOU a trip for YOUR birthday and it's on HER terms? That's an interesting take lol.

Was gonna be Hawaii if it was totally on her terms. Meeting her half way. Two years from now on her 50th she gets Hawaii on my terms.
