How many use it to treat worms/parasites in your cats, dogs and other animals?

I use it for chicken nest boxes and sometimes on dog house bedding. I don't trust it for worms.

Not sure but I remember as a kid back flushing the swimming pool filter and having a plethora of night crawlers and worms scurrying on top of the grass.

Use it on all of our stock.
Externally and internal.
I also do a regiment myself. Hight in silica and heavy metal binds to it.
The only downside fall I know of is continues use may contribute to plack buildup in the arteries.

I just got a 4# bag today. Iordered it last night. Talk about fast delivery.

I ordered on Ebay but it came from a Walmart store someplace. Going to start my doses on a couple cats tomorrow.

Are you seeing the parasites? be interesting to see how it works,
There's 2 kinds of DE, the pool stuff isn't what you want for parasites or insecticide.

You must use the food grade as an internal parasite treatment. I am well aware of the different grades. We use it in our Pest Control Company.

Yes the one cat was treated last October for round worms. Just recently I noticed he had lost some weight. I can't find his feces to check under a microscope but he scooted across the floor a couple times and I noticed one on the carpet. It was alive.

He vomited yesterday and there were quite a few that came up. Some very large others smaller. They were all dead. He must have gotten re infected again. He is an outdoor cat most of the time. I need to get a couple of these outdoor cats on a DE maintenance routine once again.

Never heard of useing it for animals. They mine it 5 miles from my house. They haul it in semis 24-7 365 to a plant and dry and crush it into powder. It's used in wine filters and go no go fuel filters and several other things

Typically to treat a known parasitic infection I administer 1/2 tsp 2x daily in wet food. It mixes in well and easier to administer it. You can dust the DE on dry food also if they don't refuse it. The 2x per day gives a more steady level of DE which I believe is more desired for faster results. Food Grade DE is the "ONLY" kind that should be use in this manner.

I know some use 1 tsp per day for 7-10 days if they don't feed their pets that frequently. Try to monitor the animals stool, it will show parasite discharge typically. Treatment results can vary some time wise, but generally results will begin within 3 to 5 days. For maintenance treatment it can be every few months or as needed.

Most house bound pets aren't as high risk like in/out cats and dogs. Dogs and cats all like to eat poop and dead rodents at times. Parasites can also be passed from the mother while nursing young also.

I sprinkle it around my cabbage and rutabagas. Supposed? to kill little crawly things. I get it at the feed store and it does say foodgrade with a picture of a chicken on the bag...
