I'd like to know too as I'd like to pickup a few dozen of them "bad traps".

I've never used the #3 dogless but I've caught a bunch of animals in #2 modified Bridgers, dogless and dog on. They're my favorite trap. Never a problem whatsoever except for a bent dog every now and then. I actually prefer them to MBs. They're 98% as tough and a good bit cheaper.

Anyone ever check out MTPs website of the discounted traps that have had a bad lamination strip welded on....good prices for new traps
