is the lyman 5th edition of shotshell worth the money.
i watch a lot of youtubes and lots of people recomend it because it shows the different types of shells.
Thought?

The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

its worth it, the only issue is a some of the components are no longer in production.. Wads mostly.. federal wads, remington wads are two examples.. Still it has a ton of good info with componenets that are available.. You can get a lot of info from Hogdons website and some from Alliant too..

Is the Lyman manual worth the money? If you know nothing about reloading shotshells, yes. One of the best sources of "how to" there is. For load data alone, no.

yes, it is worth the money. But, I cross reference load data when reloading: Lyman, Reloading Specialties Inc., BPI, Alliant, etc. The shotshell reference in the Lyman book is worth the cost alone in my opinion. Are you going to load lead, steel, TSS, slugs or what?

Claybuster markets clones of all the common Federal, Remington, Winchester wads plus several others. They are all I use and have absolutely no issues. I stock/use the snot green figure 8 wad, the AA 7/8 oz gray wad (12ga), the 20ga AA 7/8 oz wad, and the AA 410 wad. I keep a stock of 1k to 2k of each. The Lyman book is well worth it. Mine sits on the corner of my shotgun table right next to the MEC 9000G presses.
