I had 4 of these but lost 3 of them in a fire about 10 years ago. This is the last one I have but I do have 4 boxes of blades (maybe 500 blades total). These were used by the furriers in the New York fur district back in the 1950's to trim and/or cut tanned furs. I have used this one to skin all kinds of animals from weasels to an elephant. Razor sharp blades that are easy to re-sharpen with a steel. Brass handle opens to replace blades. Each cardboard blade sheath shown holds 6 blades wrapped in wax paper. Note: Blue baler-twine loop is from me and not originally part of the knife.
I am just curious if I may have the last one of these as the NY fur district is basically gone.

Those are still used by furriers today.
I dont have one but used them in the fur studio where I learned basic tech and design.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.
