I agree, this year is going to be a doozie.

Same here I get more ticks in Feb and March. Mostly because I spend time picking through deer bedding areas looking for sheds

Heavy frost this morning and pulled first one of the year off of me little bit ago.

Took a little walk yesterday evening, found one the little deer ticks on (not in) my hand. I think with the warm winter we had they are going to be horrible this year. Hopefully I am wrong.

Son was out bank fishing yesterday and found one , then he is driving home and thinks he feels another pulls it off without looking

walks in the door , blood all down his neck , that one was a skin tag not a tick.

I don’t recall ever having one in March, in Nebraska. Set up a beaver job yesterday. Was in the shower after and thought I had a tick right on my neck hair line. Turned out it was a clump of dried mud with a tiny pebble in it. Still tick free in March around here!

Did see a pile of painted turtles getting it on in the sun on north bank. Like 20 of them! That’s a first for me in March. They were putting the robins to shame! grin
