I'm primarily a canine trapper, so I'd go with the mini parallel.

I ordered a mini parallel two weeks ago, to go with the regular parallel I’ve had for a few years. Not sure when I will receive it from Lee, but believe it will be worth the wait!

Not sure what one I have it’s about 20 inches total length, with handles. Sure has made a difference. I went thru a lot of others before finding his at coyote days.

Give Lee a call and visit with him about your needs. He's a great guy to deal with and he will go out of his way to make sure you get what you need.

If your used to the "regular" style fleshjing knives, probably the mini. Doing bigger hides, beaver, deer, etc, the regular parallel or the standard knife. the standard reallly dummifies fleshing beaver. Dont have to worry about the angle youre holding the knife with it, just lay it flat of the hide once you make the starter cut.

I agree with what was said above. I called Lee and chatted for a good bit, he’s a great guy! He determined that the mini was probably something I would like better, and boy was he right- mini doesn’t seem like it’s an appropriate description as it’s still a heavy duty knife, but let me tell ya, it’s great! It’s beautiful as well.

I've got the parallel and the mini. I'd like to buy the standard just to say I have the complete set before he retires completely.

I've used Lee's mini for the last 5 years. Had his big knife before that. Love the mini, just fits me better. Lee is a great guy. I now have 2 of his knives, a Death Ray and a Wolffang driver that he no longer makes. Great products.
