If a spot is good, I like to make 2 sets anyway. A dozen traps goes pretty quick.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Depends on how much land you have to trap, population of animals to target and how much time you have to trap. 25 or 30 traps in half decent fur grounds should keep a hobby(part time) trapper busy.

trapaholic here, yes of course you need more. Really it depends on your outlook, they are not going to get any cheaper and you don't need the super dooper high priced one. Dukes work for me......jk

I would get slightly more traps than you think you will want to set. That way you can have them prepped and ready, if you decide to use them.
Right now, used traps are dirt cheap and plentiful. Low fur prices and the aging out of many trappers has flooded the market. You need to look them over well still though.
Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and small local, farm auctions are good places to look for used traps.
I like traps, but prefer collecting axes, hatchets and cleavers more instead. That does not mean I always pass up a good deal or interesting trap.

Since when did people start putting a count on them before they are ready to quit?
