Here’s one I caught last week in the Adirondacks. I haven't been there since early December 1986 Guy from Tupper lake was mad at me because he said the factories in the Midwest killed all his trout. I was like im from Iowa, no big factories for many hours from me That's a big brookie!

The only big brookies I have caught were in Quebec and we got some at 20+ inches. Here in Pa I have not caught a 12 incher that was not stocked. We also have some small creeks with browns that are short and fat and solid they were not stocked (I think) but their parent probably were. Of course I find these spots in the summer looking for beaver spots. Always looking......jk

I always wondered if it’s okay to handle trout by the mouth like you would a bass? Nope due to the teeth the trout have.

We go bear hunting up there every year. While we are there, we fish Schoodic ( sp?) and Seboius lakes. We have done well on lakers, splake, brookies, and salmon. Son in law got a nice 8lb salmon out of Schoodic. Great area. Nice salmon

We had a nice little brook trout stream that I used to fish, caught some nice brookies. Then the guy that owned the land sold lots and now it's all homes and private party.
Didn't Jennifer Flowers get hush money from Wild Bill? I guess that was different.

Wyoming regrets getting brookies from Wisconsin back in the day and stocking them. They propagate like bullheads and don't get over 6" long. Now Wyo is trying to get native cutthroat back in the lakes and streams.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.
